Hi guys, come and join us for the last nature group for term 2 at the John Knight playground on Lake Gininderra, Belconnen. Last time we were here the big kids had a great time playing near the water and the littles have plenty of playground space! Let’s meet at the playground.
Hope to see you there!
Sam
We will be heading to Gungahlin library most weeks on Tuesday afternoons after lunch for looking at books and borrowing books/DVDs. Over the winter period we’ll likely also be staying for bit reading books, sitting drawing, colouring, and/or playing card games like uno together in the warmth of the library yet out of the house (if its a particularly nice day after we’ve had a look around at the library we may head to yerrabi ponds after for a play). Over spring and summer we will continue to go to the library but will likely be moving to yerrabi ponds playground for a play after our look around each week unless its particularly hot or raining in which case we’ll stay at the library just as we would most (but not all) winter weeks. Feel free to join us.
We intend to arrive at the library between 1pm-2pm (sometimes I will be late but generally arrive between that timeframe) and will be hanging around in the children’s area. Most weeks we stick around until 3-4pm unless we are moving over to yerrabi ponds for another hour or two play after our library time.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING DATES WE ARE UNLIKELY TO BE AT THE LIBRARY BUT PLEASE FEEL FREE TO GATHER THERE WITHOUT US ANYWAY IF ANYONE WANTS TO GO STILL:
*2nd July
* 9th July
* 13th August
*17th September
*24th September
* 29th October
The last Library Meet & Play for the Year is Tuesday 26th November – won’t be going through December unless I put anything impromptu up – Hopefully see some of you at the library on some weeks (again if we are not in the kids area of the library after 2pm on any week then you will find us at Yerrabi Ponds District Playground which is just a short drive from the library – either near the flying fox or the little kids playground)
My number is 0451346987 if you need to get in touch – I am best at answering texts over calls with the kids, so if you cant get me on a phone call just text.
This is an all of CHEC invite….

Hi all,
Since the weather is looking a bit miserable for tomorrow, I’ve arranged to hold nature group at C3 Church Monash – 184 Clive Steele Avenue, Monash.
There is a creche for the little ones to play in, a big outdoor space (both green space and trees) and my husband runs his judo club there too, so kids can play on the judo mats and crash mats.
Bigger kids might like to bring a board game to share, or outdoor games if the weather ends up being ok! Ill bring some loom bands as my daughter is really into that right now.
Feel free to contact me for any more info. Hopefully see you tomorrow!

Nature Group this week is at Yerrabi Ponds playground in Gungahlin. There is a huge space to play, with a little skate park, playgrounds, flying foxes, as well as toilets. Great for little and big kids!
A few members are going to the treetops excursion on this day so it might be a smaller group today.

Hi All,
I have booked a tour of the High Court.
This event is for students age 10-17. This is not a drop and leave event, all students need to be supervised by their parent or a nominated CHEC parent. This is also not an event to bring extra family members ie Grandparents, Aunts or Uncles unless they are registered members of CHEC and are there for supervision purposes. Dads are welcome to come along.
You will need to arrive for the tour no later than 10:30am as the tour will start promptly at 10:45am. They were very clear on this and we won’t be able to wait for stragglers.
We do have a number limit of 35 so if you would like to come along please RSVP by emailing me, fredtil@outlook.com no later than Wednesday the 24th of April.
For those with littles that will have their bigs attending, the area is very pretty during Autumn and there are areas to play while the tour is happening.
Blessings,
Sharon Wilson
