As part of CHECs vision to “meet together to encourage and support each other in our endeavours to train our children for..Jesus’ glory” we are running four workshops across the year (one each term).
The Term 4 workshop on Thursday 28 November at 42/44 Constitution Avenue Parkes from 7.30 to 9.30pm. This workshop will be looking at curriculum and registration (ACT and NSW).
The aim is to provide opportunities for people to look at different curriculum options so please bring along things that you’ve used or are currently using. If anyone feels comfortable sharing examples of their registration, that would also be helpful.

Please join us at this year’s AGM!
We will discuss important matters and elect the Administration Team for next year. I urge you to attend to ensure you have a say and are informed of what is happening in our community and ensure we can function as an association. Please also pray for God’s hand over the elections and decisions made.
To encourage you further, we will be having a cookie swap like we did last year. So if you are able, bring along your favourite cookies or baked item and come and enjoy some from others! We will refill your container with a selection of everyone else’s treats.
Also we would like to use this opportunity for a curriculum/education material and book buy/swap/sell. There will be tables out to set books up on.
All positions in the Administration Team are open regardless of whether the current member is intending to stand again for election. The team generally meets once a term to discuss the overall management of CHEC. I encourage you to consider standing to ensure we have a full and capable team. If you would like any more information on what is involved for the admin roles, please let me know, I am happy to help!
Please check your emails for more important details regarding the AGM.
There is an enclosed outdoor play area for the kids, but it might be a good idea to bring a game or toy the kids can play with quietly to keep little ones occupied during the meeting.
So, bring your books, bring your cookies, and I hope to see you there! Sam
Join us for a nice hike up Mount Taylor.
There are some steep sections, but overall the climb only takes about 45 minutes.
BYO water, snacks, and hats/sunnies, and suncream!
Meet in the Mount Taylor carpark off Sulwood Drive.
RSVP (0422716524) to let me know you are coming.
(This event was postponed from Term 3)
I would like to invite you to our property for a nature group catch up:)
We live 35min out of Queanbeyan on a lovely bush block. There is space for free play in nature, setting up a picnic underneath the eucalyptus trees and going for a little hike up our hill and hopefully spot lots of native animals on the way. There is also a dam with yabbies, so bring your gumboots and a keen sense for adventure:)
Our house is accessible with any car but please be aware that you have to drive on a bumpy dirt road.
If you wish you can bring food to put onto the BBQ for lunch or just pack some food to share.
Looking forward having you out here!
Our address is 2219 Hoskinstown road in Forbes creek ( make sure you put forbes creek into the navigation so you don’t get lost)

Please join us for the last nature group for term 3 at the Himalayan cedar forest at the arboretum. There is a wonderful fort in the forest to play in, and trees to climb and play under.
We will meet near the fort, at the edge of the forest. Please bring a picnic blanket!
