Hi everyone,
I came across this all-ages school holiday activity and thought it would be fun to share the day with our CHEC community!
This event is run through the National Arboretum and there is a small cost of $5 per family.
The kids and I will meet anyone who wants to join at the village centre at the Arboretum at 10 am, and we can register, grab some maps and do the orienteering together. We can even have a coffee and a play at the lovely playground afterwards!
Please RSVP so I know who will be there. There’s a few other school holiday activities at the arboretum, so check out the website below and you could make a whole day of it!
I thought I might add that this activity is weather-dependant.. if its raining or miserable we can reschedule for later in the week!
Hope to see you there
Sam

We are exploring new playgrounds and venues in Nature Group!
This week, we are going to check out Farrer Nature Play and Adventure Trail.
I found this description online: The Farrer nature play and adventure trail is a natural timber fort, with pipes to crawl through, teepees, swings, and more.
Come along for outdoor play and encouragement from parents as we enjoy God’s wonderful creation.

Hello one and all!
This week, Nature Group is hosting the CHEC beginning of term picnic! We would love to see one and all at Tidbinbilla on Friday.
The beginning of term picnic is a wonderful opportunity for all of CHEC to get together and share in fellowship and encouragement of each other. I urge you to make every effort to come to either provide encouragement or be encouraged yourself (hopefully both!)
We will meet at the Nature Discovery Playground – specifically the picnic area below the playground (across from the toilets). There is plenty to do at the playground for all ages (huge slides, zip line), as well as a large open space in the picnic area for sports activities, and bushland to explore not too far away.
BYO picnic or food to share (if sharing be mindful of allergies), and any favourite sports equipment to share.
We look forward to seeing many of you there!

Change of plans: apparently Bidjiwang Play Space might be a challenge for families with smaller children, so we have decided to move Nature Play to Ridgeline Park in Denman Prospect.
There are lots of fun things for all ages here!

(Perhaps you might like to check out Bidjiwang as a family sometime if you are feeling adventurous…)
