PARKING
Entrance is a gate/driveway on the left.
There isn’t much parking but you could probably fit a few cars in there.
The only spot we CAN’T park in, is right next to the ramp as that’s the rangers spot.
There is lots of parking on the street as well.
Kind regards

The theme of book week this year is “Reading is Magic”. Come along and be involved. This activity is suitable for all ages from the youngest to the oldest of our homeschoolers. Below is a list of some of the activities to help get you excited. Prizes will be awarded for some of these activities; these will be by age group and include a teenager’s and parent’s category.
- Dress Up – have a think about what character from a book you will dress up as and get creative! Don’t forget to bring the book with you!
- Write or draw (as age appropriate) about your favourite character from a book (templates provided here https://www.icloud.com/iclouddrive/0b9Y6XtoAjdmEuOELn4LU7fCg#Bookweek).
- For those who are fantastical illustrators, draw a map based on the theme “Reading is Magic”.
- Food is a magical part of many books. Bring a plate to share of a magical food, this may be something from the shops like Turkish delight (Narnia) or if you are a whiz in the kitchen and want to win a prize create something to bring on the day.
On the day we’ll be talking about books, reading some of the shortlisted picture books and eating some food together (and drinking nice coffee for the adults). We’ll have some craft activities for those who want to participate and free play as well. A selection of fantastical board games will also be available to play.
Book week will be held at Good Shepherd Anglican Church Curtin from 10.30 to 1pm with prize presentation at 11.30. The car park is accessed from Gillies Street.
Due to the theatre cancelling shows, this production is now at 10am.

The Peasant Prince tells the remarkable true story of a 10-year-old peasant boy’s journey from impoverished rural China to the international dance scene. This is a story of courage, resilience and unwavering hope.
Li, a 10-year old peasant boy is plucked from his village in rural China and sent to a ballet academy in the big city. He leaves everything and everyone he loves, including his family. Over years of gruelling training, this boy transforms from an impoverished peasant to a giant of the international dance scene. Li’s courage, resilience and unwavering hope for a better life for himself and his family makes The Peasant Prince a story to ignite our own aspirations to be the best person we can be. Audiences will be captivated by this very personal story, truly a 20th century fairy tale.

We are looking for explorers looking to participating in an adventures with other homeschoolers, without leaving the table.
We are looking to start a Real Life Role Play Game group in Term 3. We are working to set up a range of stem learning opportunities with a real life role play gaming group.
This is a story based game, where players take on characters, and work as a team to solve puzzles and move around an ‘experience a world’ and fight battles using story. Every character has different skill sets which have certain points and mathematics is used to asses the success of each encounter/activity. The story telling style from the genre of fantasy, like classic works of fiction like lord of the rings and Narnia.
One ‘adventure’ can take several hours, so we are looking to do this in fourtnightly over term 3. To get the best out of this activity, we do need commitment for the term, as when members are missing it can be disruptive to the game.
Currently we are looking for tweens-teens (age 11+) and we need a group of about 6, but if there is enough interest we can look too making a second group (or more). So if you are interested, but don’t feel you fit this category please let me know anyway .
Price $60 divided by number of players (4-6 players)
